Paintings, Photos, Sculpture

Information about paintings, photos, and sculpture is generally included in the text. If a formal citation is needed in the notes or bibliography list the following:

Name of artist, a title or description in italics, date of creation or completion, information about the medium, location of work. A museum accession number be included, or if a work is online, use the URL.

Tip: To include information in the text, you can enter the information under the visual source.

Ex: Neil Armstrong's "double horizon" shot of Buzz Aldrin, July 20, 1969. Marshall Space Flight Center.
