Founded in 2010, The Comics Grid: Journal of Comics Scholarship is a researcher-led, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal. The journal aims to publish original and specialised contributions to the field of comics scholarship from multidisciplinary and media-specific perspectives.
The journal aims to promote innovative comics scholarship where the writing is energetic and theoretically and interpretively bold, and that presents specialised knowledge in accessible and engaging forms. It also considers submissions that explore the ways in which comics can be used for scholarly purposes.
The journal has peer-reviewed and non peer-reviewed sections. All claims expressed in articles published by this journal are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily represent those of their affiliated organizations, or those of the publisher, the editors and the reviewers.

Image [&] Narrative is a peer-reviewed e-journal on visual narratology and word and image studies in the broadest sense of the term. It does not focus on a narrowly defined corpus or theoretical framework, but questions the mutual shaping of literary and visual cultures. Beside tackling theoretical issues, it is a platform for reviews of real life examples.
Each issue features four parts: 1) a thematic cluster, guest-edited by specialized scholars in the field; 2) a selection of various articles; 3) a few "experiences" of research; 4) reviews of recent publications. Image [&] Narrative is a bilingual journal, which publishes contributions in either English or French, and which fosters cross-cultural and interdisciplinary dialogue between linguistic and scientific traditions.

The objective of ImageTexT is to advance the academic study of an emerging and diverse canon of imagetexts. Chief among these are comic books, comic strips, and animations, but also represented are illustrated fiction, children’s picture books, digital-concrete poetic forms, visual rhetoric, etc. Any work or works, tradition, school of thought, or critical method that foregrounds the intersections, interrelations, and disjunctions between text and image is an appropriate subject for inquiry and debate in these pages. Under the guidance of an editorial board of scholars from a variety of disciplines, ImageTexT publishes solicited and peer-reviewed papers that investigate the material, historical, theoretical, and cultural implications of visual textuality. ImageTexT welcomes essays emphasizing (but not limited to) the aesthetics, cognition, production, reception, distribution and dissemination of imagetexts, along with translations of previously existing research in the field of visual culture.
